why do they do what they do?

When people from your past just show up outta the blue there is always more to what brought them to your door step than they say. Be it conscience or subconsience there is something more than what they claim. For example they come to apologize for all the crappy things they did and hurting you the way they did...but then they ask if you are seeing anyone. So what gives are you here to apologize or to see if there is a possible new future? I say to see if there is a possible new future...what do you all think?

It's New Year's. It's after the holidays. Sometimes people start to feel all lonely and they think back to you...

Wow, you sure were gerat...man, we sure had a good time together. I should look her up because you never know what might happen. What they fail to remember is how they either didn't take advantage of the chance when it was there in front of them or that you might have--gasp!--moved on with your life.

I'm not saying you can't be friendly to them, but you have to be careful. Cause if they really just want to have the process of forgiving and moving forward that is good..but if they're loooking for something that is best left in the past to be in the present, that can be a bad thing.

Anyway, that's my two cents based on watching Frasier all these years...
